Short and sweet: Robert O’Brien, a freelance software developer based in Tauranga, New Zealand. I principally work in Python, Erlang and C++. I’ve spent a good percentage of my time in the corporate world but these days work on internet and mobile technology for smaller outfits. My particular interests are User Centric Identity, large scale software design and architecture. Hence I have a healthy interest in ReST, Erlang and other emerging technology.

Essentially this blog is a note book for things that interest me and stuff that I need to keep track of. Mostly things related to erlang, RSS/Atom and Waka.
